Having ate and had a beer at the "real" brick, I thought I would post this. I guess the interior shots of "The Brick" were shot on a sound stage elsewhere, but they very closely copied the original. Who knows? Maybe the first season was shot here since the first season of Joel's office really was the building used on Main Street which is now a gift shop. The service here wasn't very good or friendly, I have to add. The food was just so-so. If there's a next time, I will go to Village Pizza instead, across the street. But I'd come back here for a beer, just saying. There is a little stream that runs though just under your stools at the bar. It's been there forever. IT's for men to spit their chew in. How cute, huh? I thought that was plretty cool. I also bought two t-shirts while I was here. They were more biker-oriented than I would have liked. I bought one with a bike on back, and one that was a drawing of the old saloon. The lady down the street in Joel's old office, now called Cicely's Gifts has the licensing to use "Northern Exposure" on the t-shirts, not The Brick. I should have bought one of those, too, but I bought a Northern Exposure hoodie instead. Attachments:

Yeah, I mean, 1. they were busy 2. it wasn't even the weekend, so why the crappy service?
And I think it's a Washington thing about the hamburger not being good out there. Still, the food wasn't good.
But, hey, if you're with friends and just want a few beers and laugh it up or shoot pool or even by yourself and want to read the paper, this is an all right place to go.

So did the reality of the real Brick burst your bubble, so to speak? Bad service equals no tips, so that's odd to say the least!

No, I LOVED it anyway. And, I'd go back. But I'd just split an order of fries or something and enjoy the wonderful bar and beer.
Then I'd go over to Village Pizza, lol!
