Thought I would just chat a little about something that happens to me...

....whacky as it might be I start watching northern exposure episodes and get to the point when Maggie's love interest Mike shows up. I do not care for the character so I just skip right over any episode that he may appear in. We have had nut bags like him show up on the Rez and escort them off...very quickly. I guess it reminds me of self centered yuppies.....something northern exposure never needed. Also my opinion of Maggie (character) changed too....for the worst.

I agree Leonard. Mike didn't fit in at all and Maggie being attracted to him just made her character feel less NEish...

Irritating I think best described that character.......especially when he acted on behalf of Cicely to sue Joel - even after Joel had helped him. That kind of day to day backstabbing we see in other TV shows and day to day life did not belong in northern exposure.

Yes, I guess we saw what Maggie was before she found Cicely.

Your dislike of Mike is somewhat warranted. However, I have to throw the new doctor that moves to town in Season 6 as just as bad. I literally can't even remember his name. I like to believe that season 6 never existed, at least till the last episode.
