Hey y'all. The weather is a changing and it's time to get into northern exposure again.
Any favorite fall episodes? Many of them were fall, since I think that's when they started each season.
Today, I watched "Heal Thy Self." Wonderful fall episode about Ed confronting his inner "green demon" of low self-esteem. Brilliant writing.

I'm about ready to get back to watching NE again. I've been watching Andy Griffith in bed every night ever since he died, but I'm almost through the series for the second time and have been daydreaming about NE!

It REALLY depends upon 1. the mood I'm in 2. the time of year it is 3. and what I'm going through in my life.
I find, in the fall/winter, I watch at least ONE episode per week. At the holidays, even more than that. In the summer, not so much, because there were so few episodes.
If I'm stressed or sad, regardless of the time of year, I turn to Northern Exposure.
When I went through a particularly bad break up, I remember watching the episode "Wake Up Call" where Maggie met the man/bear and the episode where she finds out that Rick cheated on her, over and over. Ruth Anne's advice was cathartic for me.
Other times, especially through out the year, there are some occasions that I MUST watch Northern Exposure, because it signifies a yearly event. For example I always watch "Bon Hiver" when the first snow hits. That's a mandatory yearly thing. My other northern exposure fan and I watch the Thanksgiving one every Thanksgiving, and the Xmas one every Xmas. I might add that we always get misty-eyed at the part where Holling sings "Ava Maria."
What about you?
